Puno (3825m above sea level) is a beautiful touristic city located on the border of Bolivia at the shore of Lake Titicaca. Puno was the center of the Tiahuanacu culture, one of the most important pre-Inca cultures and had the maximum population of the Aymara people. The city of Puno is famous for its varied and colorful folk traditions, as it has some of the most dazzling and richest folklore ceremonies around Peru.
